The Mountain Escape unit has large spacious accommodations to rest and relax in the beautiful Black Hills. This unit, like the others, has its own secure private entrance.

The Mountain Escape offers a conveniently located place to stay along one of the popular routes to Mt. Rushmore and the southern hills activities as well as Deadwood and Lead to the north. This unit boasts plenty of sunshine with an abundance of windows and a private, rear deck with a peaceful view of the forest.
The main area provides seating for guests with a dining table with chairs as well as four stools and a counter. Extra folding chairs are stored in the closet. This area combines the kitchen with the dining area and main living-room area. In this space there is both the king bed and the queen-size sofa sleeper.
The full kitchen includes a full-size stove/oven, microwave, dishwasher, and sink as well as basic kitchenware that may be needed to grill, cook, or serve. There are a few basic staples in the cupboards. There is a shared fire pit near the creek for a relaxing campfire, depending on open fire restrictions.
Parking is directly at the base of the stairs to the unit which can accommodate two vehicles. Additional parking is at the other end of the property.
Even though hopping a train is no longer an option, The Depot is still a great choice! Stay and relax at this quiet and cozy location. The trains no longer run near The Depot but the decor will provide a taste of yesteryear in the Black Hills.

The Depot is a private unit with easy access, built front and center in the western town. It appears as two separate buildings, the primary depot set next to the warehouse of freight. Parking is directly alongside the unit and can accommodate two vehicles with additional parking at the other end of the property for any tow/haul rigs. There is plenty of parking for a small train.
With the warm temps and the westward setting sun, the porch offers a nice place to relax and visit in the shade or enjoy the early rising sun and wildlife. The Depot at Mad Peak is set up in a studio form that sleeps two in a king bed and two on the queen-size sofa sleeper. There is a shared fire pit near the creek for a relaxing campfire.
The kitchen has a full-size stove/oven, dishwasher, mid-size refrigerator, and sink. There are dishes, pots and pans, silverware and a few basic dry staples on the shelves. The 3/4 bathroom offers a generous shower and heated tile floor.
The Hideout is a perfect get away with a warm, wild west design, whether escaping for a weekend or hiding out from the “Law.” This is a perfect, peaceful place to hang your spurs for a spell.

With the Black Hills National Forest to the rear and a meandering creek at the front, you will enjoy the peace and quiet The Hideout has to offer. There is a shared fire pit near the creek for a relaxing campfire.
The Hideout sleeps two in a king bed in the bedroom and two on the queen-size sofa sleeper in the living room. The kitchen boasts a full-size electric stove/oven, dishwasher, mid-size refrigerator, and sink. There is a 3/4 bathroom with a generous shower.
Parking is at the end of the sidewalk at the designated parking spots, with the private entrance to The Hideout at the other end of the sidewalk, just under the light.
The Merchantile porch offers a quiet place to enjoy the rising sun or the cool of the afternoon shade. There is a shared fire pit near the creek for a relaxing campfire.

The Mercantile has a king bed in the tv viewing area and a full-size bed in the loft above.
The dining/tv viewing area has a table with chairs as well as seating for relaxing. The kitchenette offers a hot plate, toaster, brew drip coffee maker, microwave, sink, mid-size refrigerator, and a dishwasher. There are dishes, pots and pans, silverware and a few basic dry staples on the shelves. The propane grill is located out the back door. The 3/4 bathroom offers a pocket door with a generous shower. Parking for your stay is at the front of the unit for two rigs with additional parking at the other side of the driveway.
Mad Peak offers a GREAT adventure while exploring the beautiful Black Hills. In a Kawasaki 2, 4 or 6 seat UTV or a Jeep-like Roxor all are perfect for a trip through the Hills.
